Sterling Parks Ltd has been in operation since April 1994 and currently employs 10 persons. Sterling Parks Ltd is the local pioneer of the pay car park industry. In 1993 Sterling Parks Ltd approached MIA with the pay car park proposal but it took well over a year for the public to accept having to pay for parking. The experience gained in that stormy beginning is still with the company, added to the experience gained in twelve years of operations. Today Sterling Parks Ltd is Malta’s leader in car park management and consultancy. The MIA car park has a compliment of 650 car spaces yet still manages an annual turnover of approximately 350,000 cars by far exceeding any other car park in Malta. The clientele includes MIA employees, employees of various companies that operate within the Airport premises as well as local and foreign customers.

Recently Sterling Parks Ltd has also been appointed as the operator for the Car Park at the Valletta Waterfront. Operations at the Waterfront have started in February 2006 and as the VISET project grows the parking areas will grow in tandem.
